Advocacy
- Providing a strong, proactive, non adversarial, Tobin Hill voice to city, county, state and federal officials for resolving community issues.
- Monthly monitoring of San Antonio’s the Zoning Commission, Historic Design & Review Committee, Board of Adjustments, and City Council. Representation before these entities as needed for Tobin Hill issues.
- Tobin Hill Community Association members hold the following political positions: District 1 Zoning Commissioner and member of the Midtown Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone, (TIRZ #31), Board of Directors.
Economic Development
- Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization Zone, with over $500,000 in THCA capacity funding and facade improvement matching grants up to $15,000 to individual property and business owners.
- Empowerment Zone
- Midtown Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone
- Fundraising: Contributions from corporate, nonprofit, government and individual donors are used for community solutions and to leverage membership dollars.
Historic Preservation
