Greetings Neighbors,As the city begins to open back up, THCA will begin slowly opening back up for meetings and events as well, though some of those may look a bit different.

This week, the THCA Book Club is on Zoom! We’ll be discussing Bad Blood, Secrets and Lies in Silicon Valley by John Carreyrou. Please reach out to Kathy Cron for Zoom login info. Next month we’ll be reading: Albert Camus The Plague. You can reach out to Kell Austin to get a 15% discount at the TWIG for next month’s book. The Book Club meets on the first Thursday of each month.

Second Friday Socials: Cody Doege and Chad Walling will be hosting our first Social on Friday, June 12, at 402 E Locust from 6:00-8:00pm. We ask that all neighbors be respectful and conscientious of heath concerns.

The Historic Preservation Committee and Zoning and Development Committee have been meeting virtually through email and text as needed. If necessary, a Zoom meeting will be scheduled. Please reach out to Ricki Kushner or Rick Schell for details.

Bi-monthly Neighborhood Meetings will continue to be postponed for now. On Monday, June 1, SAISD transitions to its summer meals program, with some changes from the May schedule. See the list of curbside and bus stop locations and times. In addition, the SAISD Child Nutrition Program has collaborated with the San Antonio Food Bank this summer. Summer meals will now include supplemental food donations from the food bank to help meet the nutritional needs of our community and families. The first distribution will begin Wednesday, June 3 and continue every Wednesday through the month of June. The distribution will take place at all summer curbside locations from 10 a.m. – noon.

El lunes, primero de junio, SAISD pasa a su programa de comidas de verano, con algunos cambios del horario de mayo. Vea la lista de ubicaciones escolares (con un horario de 10 a.m. al medio día para recoger) y la lista de ubicaciones de parada de autobús (los horarios varían).

El Programa de Nutrición Infantil de SAISD ha colaborado con el SA Food Bank este verano.
