Greetings neighbors!

Happy New Year! Tonight is the first Second Friday Social of the year. It’s being hosted by Christina and Rusty at 406 E Woodlawn, and we hope to see many of you there.

This month we will hold our Annual meeting and Elections. You can read the bio’s of the nominees on the Association website here:

THCA’s public neighborhood meetings are held bi-monthly. You do not need to be a member to attend, but you do need to be a member to vote in the election.

If you would like to join or renew your membership you can do so in person at the meeting or on our webpage:

Per the bylaws, members eligible to vote in THCA elections will be limited to those individuals registered as members at least sixty (60) days preceding the election.

Housing Programs
The Neighborhood and Housing Services Department offers several home repair and energy efficiency programs for income-qualified homeowners. Applications are being accepted for the following programs:

  • Under 1 Roof
  • Let’s Paint
  • Minor Repair Programs
  • Green and Healthy Homes

Committee Meetings:

THCA’s  Zoning and Development Committee meets bi-weekly (as needed) to review upcoming planning and zoning cases in the neighborhood. The next meeting will be Tuesday, January 14th at 6:30PM. Please contact Zoning and Development Chairperson, Rick Schell, to confirm the location of the meeting.

THCA’s Historic Preservation Committee meets monthly to discuss cases scheduled to go before the City’s Historic Design Review Commission. The next meeting will be Monday, January 27th, at 6:30PM. Please contact Committee Chair, Ricki Kushner, for meeting location details.
